Laughter filled the day, from a ceremony led by the hilarious Krystine Nation to a laid-back food truck feast. With bridesmaids in burnt orange, groomsmen in navy, and a backdrop of family history, their wedding was a perfect blend of love, joy, and unforgettable memories.

Why did you choose to get married at The Pescini Family Farm?
The one thing I knew I really wanted when we were planning our wedding was a food truck, but so many venues want you to use their in-house or approved caterers, so why not have the wedding somewhere where the rules didn’t apply. As an added bonus it’s the farm that my sister and I grew up on, as well as my father and his sister.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
The laughter. Right from the get go we wanted the wedding to be fun, not too serious and formal and our celebrant; Krystine Nation absolutely nailed it. She managed to get the perfect blend of humour and formality, and when I look back at the photos from the ceremony, that’s what I really see. Albie and I in absolute stitches over the promises she made us make to one another. It’s one of those moments that will live rent free in my head forever.
Louisa, paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?
The wedding was all about having fun and celebrating with the people that mean the most to us. The design was all the work of the amazing Lauren George from George and Co. She managed to my Pinterest board ideas to life, combining the charm and rustic nature of the farm, with their gorgeous clear marquee and beautiful florals.
Overall I wanted quite a minimalistic set-up so we had lots of white flowers with greenery and little pops of nuke and rust colouring scattered throughout. The bridesmaids all wore rust/burnt orange dresses and the groomsmen were in navy.
What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?
Watching everything come together – I started planning the wedding as soon as we got engaged, so I had been working on it for nearly two years, but it was in the last couple of months before the wedding when all the different vendors were confirming the finer details and I could really start to see in my head how it was all going to look that I started to get excited.
Oh, and making all the signs, so I could justify the Cricut I had bought two years earlier ha.
What was the best investment you made for your wedding?
The best investment we made was in our vendors and suppliers; hiring people who made our lives easier so we didn’t have to stress.
Starting off we had WedSites which made organising our guests and their responses a breeze, and then for the planning we hired the amazing team from George and Co to do all the design work for us. They took care of the marquee and everything in it which took a huge chunk of the stress away.
Finally we had Lauren, from George & Co, as our Day of Co-ordinator, and I absolutely recommend anyone getting married to get a Day of Co-ordinator. She made the day run so smoothly, everyone knew where they had to be, and if there were any issues, I didn’t know about them.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
The only thing I would try and do is remember to breathe and not worry about the little things. I was up at 3am the day of the wedding because I couldn’t sleep and had all these little jobs that needed doing running through my head. Turns out I still forgot a few things, but it didn’t matter. Nobody else noticed and I was getting stressed for nothing.
What was your favorite part of using WedSites for your wedding?
Having everything guest related in one place – has someone RSVPed, check WedSites. Did we remember to invite your old boss? Check WedSites. Were there any dietary concerns? WedSites!

Wedding planning is notoriously stressful. Now that you’ve gone through the process, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples who are currently in the midst of planning theirs?
Enjoy it! The wedding is only one day, but the build up can be years, so have fun with it. If there’s anything that you’re really struggling with, ask for help – there’s likely someone in your circle who can help out.
Also, I knew that even though I could talk weddings all day every day, my husband and I made an agreement that I wouldn’t talk about the wedding, except on the 25th of each month, and in return on that day he had to be an active part of the decision making process. We’d have a dinner date and sit down and hash out the details together.
