Olivia and Jake’s Wedding at the Kooroomba Lavender Farm

Get ready for the lavender wedding of your dreams! Teamed with peach and green, Olivia and Jake’s wedding at Kooroomba Vineyards and Lavender Farm was elegant, pretty, and classic.

Olivia and Jake’s big day was magical and heart-warming but we especially love that it was a pet-friendly celebration with the couple’s Groodle serving as their ring bearer.

Oh, did I mention that the groom arrived in a helicopter? He sure knows how to make an entrance!

Where did you get married?

Kooroomba Vineyards and Lavender Farm in Mount Alford, Queensland, Australia

Why did you choose to get married at Kooroomba Lavender Farm?

The venue is one stop (had reception and ceremony) – the surrounds is stunning and the chapel is unique. Not to mention the lavender farm was beautiful.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

My Groodle walked down the aisle to deliver the rings. Also, the Groom arrived by Chopper and we have the most amazing fireworks and band.

Olivia, paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?

The colour scheme matched the lavender farm – so the theme of the decorations was lavender, peach and green!

What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?

Finding and meeting the suppliers.

What was the best investment you made for your wedding?

Spending money on the small details. I wrote my dad a note for the aisle – everyone commented how beautiful it was. You only want to do the day once – so spend that little extra on the same details that will make such a big impact

Is there anything you would have done differently?

My wedding venue threw out my cake which I never got to try! So I think, make sure you try the cake.

What was your favorite part of using WedSites for your wedding?

I am good at excel but WedSites features ie the guestlist did things excel could not do.

Wedding planning is notoriously stressful. Now that you’ve gone through the process, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples who are currently in the midst of planning theirs?

Don’t stress about things out of your control (ie weather) – it is the most perfect day and nothing can ruin that.
