Storm and Michael’s Wedding at Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada

Storm and Michael’s wedding at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas was a stunning and intimate celebration. The chapel’s changing ceiling created a beautiful sunset sky, surrounded by faux trees and a serene waterfall at the altar.

With 50 of their closest friends and family, the ceremony was filled with love and laughter. Elegant white flowers added a touch of classic beauty, while Michael’s playful “beat that!” after his vows and their joyous “yay!” upon being pronounced husband and wife made everyone smile.

Though brief, the 15-minute ceremony captured all the emotions of their love story, making it a perfect start to their happily ever after.

Where did you get married?

Why did you choose to get married at the Chapel of the Flowers in Las Vegas, Nevada?

I wanted a really fun wedding week and a quick ceremony with built-in entertainment (Las Vegas, of course!) but it was also important to him to have a semi-traditional ceremony with a chapel setting.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

My now-husband had secretly arranged for our wedding guests to sing The Beatles’ “All My Life” to me before I entered the chapel and walked down the aisle. Early on in our dating timeline, we created playlists for each other. This was one of his favorite songs he included in my playlist.

Storm, paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?

The chapel has a changing ceiling to reflect different times of the day. We chose a sunset view, so there were lots of beautiful sunset colors as the “sky,” surrounded by faux trees, and a waterfall at the altar. There were around 50 of our closest friends and family there to witness the ceremony. We chose white flowers as all of the accents. The vibe was reflective, but still injected with humor — he said “beat that!” after he finished with his vows and we both said “yay!” after we were pronounced husband and wife — which was very “us.” It was a quick 15-minute ceremony, but it was packed with all of the tears and laughter it needed.

What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?

My favorite part of planning the wedding was seeing it all come together! Nothing could be the satisfaction of seeing all of the green “Confirmed” for the RSVPs and being able to send the final instructions for finding the venue the week of the wedding.

What was the best investment you made for your wedding?

Invest in a great photographer and photo packages! We spent mid-to-low amounts on various parts of the ceremony, but we splurged on the photographers. We had two photographers, one focused on my guests and small details throughout the ceremony, and another really focused on us. We had a two-hour photoshoot afterward, which I’d highly recommend if that’s an option. The memories you’ll get afterward from the photos of you and your guests are totally worth it.

Is there anything you would have done differently?

We had a non-traditional ceremony that was VERY Vegas-style quick, so we would’ve asked more questions about the day of ceremony just to ease our minds. However, we trusted the process with the chapel we chose, and it worked out well! Overall, just trusting the process, in general, would’ve helped us relax a little more.

What was your favorite part of using WedSites for your wedding?

WedSites was essential in collecting RSVPs and information all in one place. I loved having it as my “one source of truth” to keep everyone and everything in check. The mass e-mail feature was also so helpful in making sure information could get out quickly.

Wedding planning is notoriously stressful. Now that you’ve gone through the process, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples who are currently in the midst of planning theirs?

I loved the Vegas option because it gave me peace of mind. Any all-in-one packages that can help with vendor and event coordination as well as price transparency, I would advocate for. I could focus on giving my guests a great time by coordinating activities surrounding the wedding event.
