As your wedding day quickly approaches, you’ll start to notice the amount of things that you’ve accumulated and need to bring with you to the venue before or the day of the wedding. Between finalizing details with your vendors and dropping things off, it’s a juggling act to remember all the things you need to take care of before the big day.
While you don’t want to forget any of your crafty decorations or sentimental items, there are some things that you absolutely cannot forget to bring with you on the wedding day. We’ve put together a basic list of wedding day items all couples should pack.
Use this list to help you get the ball rolling and add, delete or edit it to make it your own. Start early and create a list of all the items you want to bring so nothing is left behind.
And before you head off to the ceremony, double check to make sure you have all the items on this list so your wedding will go off without a hitch!
Wedding Day Packing List
- Getting ready outfit (PJs, robe slippers, etc.)
- Snacks for the morning of the wedding and bottled water to stay hydrated
- Your wedding day timeline (Print off a few copies to hand out to suppliers & bridal party)
- A list of your suppliers and their contact details
- Pen, notepad, and post its
- Wedding day emergency kit
- Your perfume
- Lipstick in the color that you’ll be wearing (so you can reapply after eating!)
- Cash in envelopes for on-the-day suppliers (if necessary)
- Phone charger
Bridal Attire
- Your wedding dress on a hanger, freshly steamed and safely packed in the bag. (Watch that zipper!)
- Undergarments
- Veil (If you’re wearing one!)
- Hair accessories
- Your engagement ring
- Both wedding bands
- Bridal jewelry (earrings, necklace, bracelet, rings, etc.)
- Wedding shoes
- Any sentimental items you want to walk down the aisle with
Men’s Attire
- Suit or tuxedo jacket
- Shirt and pants, freshly pressed
- Vest (if applicable)
- Suspenders (if applicable)
- Bow tie or tie
- Belt
- Underwear
- Socks
- Dress shoes
- Accessories (handkerchief, watch, cufflinks, etc.)
Wedding Details to Photograph
- Your wedding invitation suite
- An addressed invitation envelope with stamps
- Any sentimental items or other details that you’d like photographed
Ceremony Necessities
- Ceremony programs
- Any DIY items (signage, aisle markers, arch, etc.)
- A copy of your marriage vows
- Marriage license
- Photo ID and any paperwork needed for the legal ceremony (if applicable)
Reception Details
- Cake topper & cake knife
- Table numbers
- Seating chart
- Day-of wedding stationery (escort cards/display, menu, etc.)
- Guestbook & good quality pens/markers
- Card box
- Signage (welcome sign, quotes, gift table sign, guest book sign, etc.)
- Any DIY items
- Guest favors
Wedding Gifts
- Gifts for your parents
- Gifts for your bridal party; this includes bridesmaids, groomsmen, ushers, flower girls, and ring bearers.
- Gifts for each other (if you decide to)
- Love letters to exchange with each other the morning of the wedding
