Inspired by one of the most loved classical ballets of all time, this styled shoot titled ‘Eternal Love’ was created in collaboration with some of the very best in the industry.
Setting the Scene
‘Swan Lake’ is a timeless love story that mixes romance, tragedy, and magical transformation. This ethereal shoot features a professionally trained ballerina to who transitions from black to white feathered gowns to recreate some of these core themes through dance and bridal couture style.
Couture Gowns
Taking inspiration from the ‘Swan Lake’ ballet theme, the ballerina dances throughout the shoot in feathered gowns created by Alin Le’Kal with plenty of tulle.
This shoot features three contrasting gowns from Alin Le’Kal’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection, shipped straight from the Paris Fashion Week runway. Each feathered gown makes a unique statement in its own right and their elegance is further accentuated with the use of diamonds and pearls used to embellish the bride with an effortless touch of luxury.
The Jewellery
As the bride changes into the pink feathered silk gown, she removes her diamond floral earrings for a floral statement earring design. The wedding band on her ring finger is a modern interpretation with a thin band filled with small delicate diamonds.
As the sun sets, she transforms into a dark evening look to embrace the beautiful black swan in the final black feathered gown. To complete her evening look, the bride wears a black statement ring and drop earrings.
The Crowns
To align with the royalty aspect found from the ‘Swan Lake’ ballet, the bride is crowed with ‘Gloria Grace’. This grown is a masterpiece of art, intricately handmade millinery design by Vikotria Novak, with rhodium plated leaves, Swarovski crystals, and finished with a luxe metallic silver braid.
For the bride’s second look, she wears a bejewelled ‘Derby Pearl White’ crown, featuring vintage ivory tone pearls with a white stain braid.
The Shoes
This luxurious bridal look doesn’t end with designer gowns, crown and jewelry alone. The bride is seen covered head to toe in sparkles, but her look would not be complete without the glimmering crystal designer bridal shoes by Sophia Webster.
The Hair & Make Up
Embracing the ballet-inspired theme, we see the bride in an understated classic ballet flat bun styled with one of her luxurious crowns. As she begins to let loose and dances freely in her silk gown and short feathered gown, she lets her hair down and faults a messy ponytail.
To match her pearl crown, the bride is covered in a long veil adorned with white pearl embellishments created by designer Alin Le’Kal.
Throughout the day, the bride wears a natural bridal makeup look. As she transitions into the black swan, her lip color deepens and her lids are covered with smokey winged shadows and black feathers.
