Why did you choose to get married at Villa Grabau, Lucca, Italy?
Space for our bridal party and family to stay and plenty of space and wet/dry options for the wedding day. Easy access from the airport for all our travelling guests
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
There were lots of things I care not to remember unfortunately as a result of challenges with our planned, but my most memorable part was standing with Tristan before entering for dinner and looking at all our friends and family together whom many of which we hadn’t seen for years due to Covid and us living abroad
Jemma, paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?
Orange and vibrant but with a soft sophisticated vibe. We didn’t go big on decoration as the venue itself was so beautiful and characterful
What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?
Designing the stationery
What was the best investment you made for your wedding?
Wedsites! Keeping everything in one place, visible to multiple people, reminders, just everything about it. You already feature one of my friends I recommended you too – Tarini and George. I’m always telling people to get wedsites.
Is there anything you would have done differently?
Changed our silk arch for something else, and probably chosen a different planner but that’s all really.
What was your favorite part of using WedSites for your wedding?
How easy it was to swap from save the date to wedding site, integrated invitations and table planning, budget tracking and invoice reminders. We postponed 3 times due to Covid and the interface was just so easy to use.

Wedding planning is notoriously stressful. Now that you’ve gone through the process, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples who are currently in the midst of planning theirs?
Don’t sweat the small stuff.
If it’s cheap, it’s probably for good reason.
Always have a plan b c d and e.
Remember to keep you and your partner in mind, it’s your day, don’t try and please anybody but yourselves.
