Where did you get married?

National Wine Centre of Australia in South Australia

Why did you choose to get married at the National Wine Centre of Australia?

Beautiful grounds, convenient as right in the middle of the city, able to have both our ceremony and reception in the same venue, good food and beverage options, reasonably priced, great reviews.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

The day started very cloudy and rainy.

About halfway through our hair and makeup, we looked outside, the clouds had parted, the sun came out and stayed that way for the rest of the day! the day went even better than we had planned, everything happened exactly as it should have, and other than a couple of guests not being able to make it due to illness we had the best day surrounded by our closest family and friends.

Highlights were being sung down the aisle by the brilliant Ash Gale, our beautiful florals which were even better than I imagined, the giant donut tower the mother of the groom organised and marrying my best friend!!

Kristi paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?

The overall theme I was going for was romantic but fun. So the colours were a pop of red, with pinks and creams throughout the flowers. Even the donuts matched the colour scheme! The reception was lined with candles to bring that romanticism element, and beautiful fairy lights draped above us.

What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?

Honestly all the researching and finding the vendors who clicked with us. I enjoyed so much finding things we liked and what matched our vision and seeing it all come to fruition was amazing.

What was the best investment you made for your wedding?

An acoustic musician! Walking down the aisle to him singing is a memory I will treasure forever. I’m just sad we didn’t get to hear more as we were having our bridal portraits but everyone kept telling me how amazing he was!

Also, finding a celebrant that gets you as a couple. Our celebrant Beck had the most incredible way of weaving our story into our ceremony, everybody kept commenting on how great it was.

Is there anything you would have done differently?

If the budget had allowed it, I would’ve splurged and hired the band to continue the evening. Our musician DJ’d and it was fantastic, but I love some live music and it would’ve been the perfect way to keep the party going.

What was your favorite part of using WedSites for your wedding?

I found the RSVPing for the guests was the best part. To have it all collated so I didn’t have to go trawling through responses was great. I just downloaded the list once everyone replied and sent it straight to the venue, was super convenient! Also being able to put all the extra information on the website instead of having to include extra cards in the invitation was a nice cost saver too.
