While the wedding day is one of the happiest moments of our lives, the months, weeks, and days leading up to it can be a roller coaster of emotions.
To help newly engaged couples navigate the 12+ months of planning one of the biggest events of their lives, we’re excited to announce the official release of WedSites: a new wedding planning platform built for collaboration, insights, and communication.
Why We Created it
When I was Maid of Honor for my best friend, I quickly realized how much time, energy and, of course, money goes into planning a wedding…
In an attempt to stay organized, she had signed up to a bunch of free online tools to keep track of her tasks, budget, invoices, contracts, guest list, incoming RSVPS, and the list went on.
After signing up to these free services, she found herself overwhelmed with an inbox full of marketing emails upselling her things she didn’t need.
Watching her jump from one site to another, I found this whole process to be so inefficient and impersonal. And it made me wonder, why isn’t there an all-in-one platform to make wedding planning easier?
Fast forward 12+ months of research, design, development, and testing, our team launched WedSites to help like-minded tech lovin’ couples streamline their wedding planning.
What is WedSites?
WedSites is a project management platform with a suite of tools built specifically for wedding planning purposes.
Our goal is to create a personalized space for couples to collaborate on their wedding to-do’s, save time, and keep everything neatly organized in one place.
Wedding Planning Collaboration & Project Management
Once the wedding date is set, the digital planner will create a checklist of items with deadlines to guide you on what to do next. Couples can also create their own task reminders and invite their partner, bridal party attendees, or wedding planner into their planning dashboard to start delegating tasks to take a load off their plate.
Wedding Website + Guest List Management
Couples are able to set up a personalized website to share important information about their wedding. While making it easy for guests to RSVP online is an obvious benefit to having a wedding website, the guest list manager tool works together with the site to keep track of any RSVPs and other guest responses.
Online RSVP Form Builder
With each wedding being so different, we wanted to give our couples the freedom to create an online RSVP form suited to their particular needs rather than the traditional “Yes, I’m attending” or “Regretfully declined” responses.
We’ve seen some couples get very creative with their RSVP forms, but have found that it has been particularly useful for destination wedding couples organizing shuttle buses and airport pick ups. Asking this information upfront saves couples time from otherwise having to email, call, or text each guest for.
Get Your RSVPs Back Before the Deadline
If you’ve ever planned a wedding, you know that there are always those last minute stragglers who miss the RSVP deadline. To save our couples from having to stress about late RSVPers, we introduced an optional RSVP reminder feature to do the chasing on their behalf.
Option to Use Your Own Custom Calligraphy
To give your wedding website that extra touch of personalization, we’ve introduced a custom calligraphy option where you can upload your names in your own handwriting or something that you’ve commissioned.
If you don’t have the neatest handwriting, don’t worry. All our collections have been professionally designed with beautiful type. (We’re a couple of typography nerds!)
