Where did you get married?

Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona

Why did you choose to get married at Boojum Tree Hidden Gardens?

The venue was so unique and aligned with our vision of a tropical theme.

What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?

It’s hard to pick just one. From the ceremony, walking down the aisle and seeing all of our guests and my groom waiting for me at the end was truly breathtaking. From the reception, finally being able to really let loose on the dance floor and singing along to “Mr. Brightside” with all of our friends- it was hands down the most fun and surprising part of the day.

Brittany, paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?

Tropical, bright and eclectic. Our venue was very jungle-esque and my flowers looked like they could have been plucked from inside. Birds of paradise, proteas, ginger and monstera leaves filled the bouquets and centerpieces.

We also had touches of Indian inspired florals with carnation garlands sprinkled throughout the venue. Our bridal party (and my groom) were donned in rich hues of poppy red, magenta and maroon. The vibe was very fun, colorful and relaxed. We wanted a party!

What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?

Seeing all of our DIY projects come to life! Especially all of the floral elements.

What was the best investment you made for your wedding?

We went with an almost all-inclusive venue. It helped so much with minimizing decisions allowing us to focus on the details we wanted to focus on.

Is there anything you would have done differently?

I would have spent more time picking out my dress. I had a vision of what I wanted, found it, and didn’t look any further. I didn’t think ahead about how uncomfortable or hard to move in it would be.

What was your favorite part of using WedSites for your wedding?

Being able to track RSVPs and menu selections! And being able to easily put together a beautiful and functional website.
