Where did you get married?
Northbrook Park in Farnham, United Kingdom
Why did you choose to get married at Northbrook Park?
We selected Northbrook as our wedding venue because from the moment we both viewed the grounds it took our breath away, everything about the venue was perfect, from the grounds, the ceremony space, the reception space, and the roaming peacocks.
The addition of having private onsite accommodation was a bonus as it meant family and friends could enjoy all our special moments leading up to and after the wedding together along with us exclusively.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
Being able to share the story of US and share our journey with not only our close loved ones but people that have watched us flourish as young teens together to where we are now was amazing however our most memorable part of all is being able to incorporate our three children and them witnessing their parents union to have as a lasting memory.
Chamarla, paint us a picture. What was the theme, style, colors, and overall vibe of your wedding day?
The ceremony was elegant yet boho chic, the aisle was framed with mid- high vases of pampas grass stems whilst the floor was lined with a white carpet scattered with white rose petals, and a white rose archway at the entrance. The main fire place was dressed with a mix of beige pampas and white roses whilst the room had lit floating candles scattered in candelabras.
The grounds were vibrant and colourful with verdant lawns framed by a serene lake, the grounds have walled mazed gardens with colourful blooms and roaming peacocks, we served cocktails and canapes.
Our saxophonists serenaded guests throughout the ceremony, cocktail hour as well as when they were seated and awaiting dinner.
The reception space was dressed with Nude, Green and Gold accent tones to complement our wedding party.
We had a personalised dance floor with our names and wedding hashtag #FIRSTLASTONLY. The evening was filled with fun, games and laughter.
The weather was amazingly sunny and warm we couldn’t have wanted a better day, it was emotional, overflowing with love as well as good energy and high vibrations. This was truly a day to remember and more!
What was your favorite part of planning your wedding?
Slowly seeing our vision we had dreamt of coming together, each time we had secured a vendor we wanted or ticked something off our checklist it gave us the ability to see how our day was forming and taking shape.
The planning process is difficult because it is so stressful it can become overwhelming and you start doubting choices so as it comes together the small wins are big successes!
What was the best investment you made for your wedding?
Our coordinator, as much as I had amazing vendors, contributors, wedding party, and family. Having a coordination team meant that our day went ahead seamlessly.
It also meant our wedding party, family, and guests could enjoy themselves without the worry of having to do anything as it was all covered!
Is there anything you would have done differently?
We would definitely have hired our coordinator for full wedding planning to lighten the stress load!

Wedding planning is notoriously stressful. Now that you’ve gone through the process, do you have any advice or words of wisdom for couples who are currently in the midst of planning theirs?
Don’t stress!! If the budget permits instruct a planner as soon as you can it eliminates hassle, at the very least try to use a coordinator for the day as they may offer a partial service which means they will assist with tying up loose ends and bringing everything together, if not delegate as much as you can to the wedding party contributors i.e bridesmaids and groomsmen. Start planning as far ahead as you can to secure your vendors or venue.
Stay in budget!! Be realistic in the figure you wish to spend on your day at the beginning of the planning process and stick within be stringent even if it means you have to sacrifice things, get creative!
